Credit to where credit's due!
Whilst I have no recollection how I stumbled on it, the www.ngoam.co.uk site caught my eye - I liked it's simplicity. I borrowed the same basic idea and developed what you see now.
I also nicked an idea from www.csszengarden.com where this design by Alex Donnelly inspired me to set the overflow attribute on a division (such as this one), thus maintaining my desire to limit the display of any page to a single screen. This also made my life easier when it came to doing the graphics! I apologise to those who are viewing this on anything smaller than a 19" screen as in your case my goal was pointless! Get a bigger screen!
The third area where I used other people's ideas is in the graphics. I found some excellent Paint Shop Pro Tutorials on www.pinoy7.com - in particular the one titled "The Photo Within" that you might recognise as being the basis for the graphics at the top of my page.
I used the following tools: Paint Shop Pro 7 for the graphics, Album Express for the albums and NoteTab Light / FrontPage / Notepad for the code. I have tested the design on IE6 pc, FF 1.5 and BT Yahoo! Browser 3.02 - it appeared to work as desired. If you find a bug, I may or may not wish to know about it but please use the CONTACT link to drop me a line.
Last but not least, jogger deserves a quick mention for demonstrating to me that it is all achievable in the first place!
Norrie.
